I’m a cognitive neuroscientist, currently working on a research program that seeks to understand how the mind works and how its functions are implemented in the brain through studies of human attention and its deficits. I couldn’t be more thrilled about this collaboration with Dr. Eskes and her colleagues – Fundamental cognitive and neuroscientific principles suggest that we should be able to generate brain-training exercises that will remediate attention deficits associated with stroke and disease. This is a project that has the ability to affect real change.
